The Shifting West End

timellis:

I have found that “the west end” of Toronto is always wherever somebody who lives west of Spadina lives.

For example, I say I live in the west end, by which I mean generally around Etobicoke. So people will say “I live in the west end” and I’ll go “oh yeah, me too” and ask them where they live. And they’ll say anything from Bathurst out to Mississauga.

Possibly the largest “west end” in the world.
